Ångaloppet
Ångaloppet is the result of a birthday party. When the brothers Nils and Theo respectively was about to turn 30 and 20 in 2011, they wanted to invite to a somewhat different birthday party at the family's summer place Ånga Gård. Since Nils has a background in swimming and Theo was still active as an elite-level swimmer, they wanted to arrange some form of swimming competition before the festivities themselves would take place in the evening.
I met Nils for the first time in 1999 when we were bike couriers in Stockholm and he became one of my best friends. When he and Theo later started Ångaloppet it was therefore only natural that I’d do the official race movie. Since being with them from the start, I feel like I have just as much heart in it as the organisers themselves.

My mission is simple here; produce a race movie that encourage more people to start with the sport Swimrun.
I did all the filming, flying and editing.
Filmed with Sony FX3, Gopro 9 & DJI Mavic 2 pro.
Otto has been our creative pillar when it comes to our visual work. Both his images and all the moving material have been key to our digital brand.
He has also helped us achieve the right feeling that we want our customers and viewers to get.
